Mangosteen ( Garcinia mangostana linaeus) is a tropical fruit tree originated from SUNDA ISLAND and MOLUCCAS (wikipedia), an 18th century publication titled “ A description of mangostan and the bread-fruit” by John Ellis : mangostan was the word for mangosteen in the Molucca Islands.
